SNYDER, Willis “Bud”

of Horton, Michigan passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008 age 78 years. He is survived by his loving wife, of 56 years, Lucille; three sons, Richard (Donna) of Jackson, Steve (Kim) of Horton and Terry (Joyce) of Hanover; one daughter, Lynda Yoder of Jerome; two sisters, Ella Jean (Mel) Nichols of Wolf Lake (Jackson) and Delane Eller of Bradenton, FL; four granddaughters; six grandsons; two great granddaughters; one great grandson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; three brothers and one son-in-law. Willis was employed for 28 years with Lite Metal Dicast and self employed with his brother, Robert Snyder, as RDS Painting Co. He was a great fan of Nascar and Eucre.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 13th from 7-9 P.M. at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hanover, MI. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Hanover with Chaplain Dave Cornwell officiating. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Jackson, MI. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Great Lakes Hospice or to a charity of their choice.

DAVIS, Garrick Charles

of Pulaski, Michigan passed away suddenly May 22, 2008. He was born March 10, 1989 in Albion, Michigan the son of Charles and Lisa (Kies) Davis.
He is survived by his parents; one sister, Lekiesha (David) Croad; one brother, Travis Faudree; three nephews, Robert, James and Joseph and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service to honor the life of Garrick Charles Davis will be held at the Pulaski Free Methodist Church, 9971 Miller Road in Pulaski on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Ortell officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the family to help with the funeral expenses.

MAROWELLI, John L.

of Pittsford, Michigan passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born July 28, 1936 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, of 49 years, Joanne Faye Marowelli; one daughter, LeAnn (Steven) Schmidt of Pittsford; three grandsons, Jonathon Marowelli, Phillip Irwin and Luke Irwin; two brothers, Larry Marowelli of Hillsdale and Jerry (Andrea) Marowelli of Vandercook Lake, MI; one sister, Maggie Marowelli of Texas; mother-in-law, Eunice Knox of Wayne, MI; one brother-in-law, Bigia “Buzz” (Clarinda) Smith of Fairborn, OH; three sisters-in-law, Norma (William) Paley of West Hartford, CT, Samie (Thomas) Shields of Wayne, MI and Sharon (Donald) Brown of Union Lake, MI and a special friend and companion, Betsy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Marowelli served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid bowler at L & J Lanes and he was also an animal lover. He was a member of Pittsford Wesleyan Church, the Waldron Tractor Club and the National Thrashers Association.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. John L. Marowelli will be held at the Pittsford Wesleyan Church, 9294 Railroad Street in Pittsford on Wednesday, May 28th at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Douglas Plunkett officiating. Interment will take place in the Churches Corners Cemetery in Wheatland Township. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Tuesday, May 27th from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Greater Hillsdale County Humane Society or to Pittsford Wesleyan Church.

HOLLOWAY, Mayme

of Jonesville, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2008 She was born April 21, 1934 in London, Kentucky the daughter of William and Opha (Napier) McNew.
She is survived by her husband, of 54 years, Robert H. Holloway; her sister, Opha Williams; sons, Harold (Lynne) Holloway, Kenny (Darlene) Holloway, Paul (Theresa) Holloway and Everett (Emma) Holloway; grandchildren, Teresa, Jack, Chris, Nicholas, Jesse, Adam, Cameron, Zac, Isaac and Tori and great grandchildren, Taylor, Josh, Nathaniel, Haliegh, Ethan, Gabrielle and two on the way. Mrs. Holloway was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 57 years.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Mayme Holloway will be held at Hillsdale Assembly of God on Thursday, May 22nd at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Joseph “Bo” Robinson officiating. Interment will take place in the Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Wednesday, May 21st from 4-9 P.M.

WILSON, Warren H.

of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away May 21, 2008 at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. He was born February 18, 1922 in Camden, Michigan the son of William and Amilie (Carpenter) Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Joan Wilson whom he married on July 13, 1946. He is also survived by two sons, Alan L. (Sue Ellen) Wilson and Warren M. Wilson all of Hillsdale; one grandson, Mark Wilson of Coldwater; two great grandchildren, Timothy and Kezia Wilson; one brother, James Wilson of Frontier and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brian Scott Wilson and sisters.
Mr. Wilson served his country in the United States Army during W.W. II. and he was a past member of the American Legion in Hillsdale. He retired from Essex Wire in Hillsdale after over 20 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family along with fishing and golfing.
At his request cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 24th beginning at 2:00 P.M. at their home located at 358 North West St. in Hillsdale. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
Mr. Wilson served his country in the United States Army during W.W. II. and he was a past member of the American Legion in Hillsdale. He retired from Essex Wire in Hillsdale after over 20 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family along with fishing and golfing.
